You will have to head over to VOYA’s website and read the entire interview where they ask detailed questions about her background and about each of the books, Hourglass and Timepiece. But one piece of information caught my eye and that was Myra’s answer to the imaginary casting question:
SH: In a perfect world, one in which you have complete casting control of the Hourglass movie, who would you want to play the key characters?
MM: Em – Britt Robertson
Michael – Joe Manganiello, via reverse aging (Or, maybe we can use a wormhole bridge or the TARDIS and go back in time and borrow a younger version of Joe? Because otherwise, creepy.)
Lily – Selena Gomez
Kaleb – Chris Zylka
Cat – Zoe Saldana
Landers – Ryan Gosling (ENTIRELY SELFISH)
Liam – Jeffery Dean Morgan
Thomas – Jensen Ackles
Dru – Me, obvs.
Obviously! No one else could play Dru better. I think we all love Myra a little more because of her honesty, humor and just her adorable factor…gargoyles in the kitchen?!?!
There’s a TIMEPIECE giveaway up on Myra’s blog right now, and includes all kinds of goodies from Jammie Dodgers to signed books by Myra and more.

Are you ready for day 5!! This one is a serious one and slightly scary. Check it out and tell us what you think!
There’s no Novikov Principle for a slit throat.
Today’s teaser brings out the more serious side of things.
“You could chase the circles of consequence for days. If this had happened, then this wouldn’t have. Vice-versa. It’s mind boggling.”
Wonder what kind of consequences they could be talking about? Any ideas?
Michael, Emerson and Cat meet the next morning for Cat’s decision about saving Liam. She is hesitant but can find few flaws in Michaels plan. Emerson and Michael are excited about Cat’s approval. Kaleb comes rushing into the house and announces that Landers is gone. He took money and files from the safe and hasn’t been seen since. The files contain information people with time genes but specifically information on Emerson.
Michael is angry that Kaleb didn’t take the files sooner or that he didn’t take them himself when he first checked to see that she was real. Cat explains to Emerson that her ability is special and rare, making her more of a target for Landers.
Emerson is freaked out about this new information and very worried about the people she cares about. She immediately calls Dru and convinces her and Thomas to leave town. Michael has Dune make the plans for them to leave town while Emerson calls Lily to warn her about the danger. Emerson is more convinced than ever that they have to save Liam now.
The entire Renegade House begins to plan Michael and Emerson’s trip to the past. Nate uses his super speed to sneak into a bank vault and retrieve the properly numbered bills they need for Liam to live off of until he reaches the present day. Cat completes her check list and continues to make sure everything is organized. Cat’s asks Michael to bring back the formula for exotic matter that she and Liam had been working on. She is very excited by the prospect of having the research back.
Kaleb and Emerson chat for a few minutes. He asks Emerson to get his medicine if possible as well. Liam had made Kaleb a batch of the pills that help dull the emotions, before he died however he has none left. Kaleb wants Emerson to be safe and save his father.
Michael comes looking for Emerson and the two of them go to his room. Michael explains to Emerson that her safety is first priority. They both begin to speak at the same time but Micahel goe first saying he is sorry for the way he behaved the day before. Emerson says she is thankful he did it because now she knows. They begin to discussion feelings and Ava. Michael explains that Ava is not his girlfriend and she never was. Emerson is a little shocked to hear this and also confused. In order to help Emerson understand what he is saying Michael moves in close and kisses her. In the end the kiss is brief and it is obvious that Michael is sad for some reason.
Michael and Emerson return downstairs to prepare for traveling. Kaleb gives Emerson his mother’s Duronium ring so she can travel. Cat explains that the Duronium allows Emerson to see veils to travel in. Cat’s exotic matter allows them to travel and as they prepare Emerson told what to when traveling. Michael and Emerson step into the veil and Emerson focuses the date and time they wish to reach. Michael and Emerson reach the past with limited issue.
In the Hourglass world, Murphy’s Law is a cozy place to sit back and chat with friends while enjoying a cup of coffee, or Em’s favorite, a Cubano. (Add an apple empanada to that.)
Here on the interwebs, Murphy’s Law is the place to find behind the scenes information on the Hourglass books. I’ll be sharing character secrets, sequel sneak peeks, and the occasional deleted scene. You’ll find fun contests and giveaways, updates about author signings and appearances, and eventually, forums, to discuss that ever important question: Michael or Kaleb?
I’m so glad you’re here! Pull up a chair (look out for the orange fluffy ones) and enjoy exploring Murphy’s Law!
