Emerson returns home where Thomas grounds her indefinitely. Emerson won’t return to her room because she is wearing Grace’s ring and can still see the veil. She refuses to let anyone else in the room as well and Thomas beings to looks for some place new to live. At night Emerson begins to have dreams of the accident with her parents. These dreams progress from being pictures to actually incorporating the sounds and smells of the accident. Emerson tries to stay awake in order to avoid the dreams.
Dru notices Emerson having difficulty and she talks with Thomas about letting her see her friends. Thomas is hesitant until he sees Emerson curled up in a ball, reciting the alphabet backwards. She calls Michael and they have a to hours pass to hang out.
Michael is just as anxious to see Emerson and make sure she is ok. Michael asks her about the dreams and tries to make her feel safe but Emerson is aware that until Jack is found she isn’t safe. Michael fills Emerson in on everything they are trying to do to find Jack and Cat. He also tells her that Grace has not recovered and that the Hourglass is being held responsible for everything that happens.
Michael assures Emerson that no matter what her reality is he will always love her. They are in this together with the others at the Hourglass. He also assures her that she is not crazy. Emerson thinks about all the things she has and feels a little bit better about the situation, for now.
